Competitive Edge International

Purpose:

Competitive Edge International (CEI) is an interdenominational Christian sports ministry based in southern California with a vision to encourage, train, resource and network Christian athletes and coaches in women’s sports, so they may know and experience God more intimately and be equipped for an effective personal ministry. CEI has been partnering with Athletes in Action since 1997.

CEI’s purpose is two-fold: discipleship and evangelism. The first is to provide a safe environment where Christian athletes and coaches can be trained and equipped in sharing their faith, to grow in their faith, and to gain a world vision. And the second is to share the gospel with the people of the countries in which we travel, especially in the 10/40 Window. Some of our teams also emphasize cultural exchange and building international friendships. These are accomplished on CEI’s two and four-week short-term mission teams.

Ministry Activities:

Competitive Edge International is a Christian sports ministry whose purpose is to encourage, train, resource and network Christian athletes and coaches in women’s sports so they may know and experience God more intimately and be equipped for an effective personal ministry. With goals of evangelism in the least reached places around the world and discipleship for Christian coaches and athletes for its team members, CEI sends international sports ministry softball teams abroad on 2- and 4-week short-term missions trips.
