This SportsPlus team will work with a Vapor Sports Ministries team in Nairobi, Kenya at a large sports complex. Work with Kenyan nationals who are using soccer as an outreach to one of the largest slums in Nairobi. Minister to children (ages 8-14) who are participating in soccer leagues by running the camps and clinics for them throughout the week. Also, practice and play competitively against the semi-professional soccer teams during the week.

There will be other non-athletic ministry opportunities in the slum areas such as road construction, discipleship seminars for the soccer coaches and teachers and orphan ministry.

The SportsPlus training camp will take place from July 22-24, 2008. Volunteers will train with other mission teams and will then depart from the Atlanta airport on July 24 to go on their mission.

Extra Cost Considerations:The total cost of this project is $800 + airfare. This includes a two day training camp in Atlanta, team outfitting, on-field transportation, lodging, meals, insurance, and all other mission-related expenses. Sightseeing and souvenir expenses are not included in this final project cost.
